In 110 days, I'm going to be in Washington DC....
Which means... there are 110 days until I ran my next marathon. I'm so excited to do this race. It's in Washington DC, it runs past all the national monuments, and it's supporting Safe Kids, plus Kelly's going to try and come and do a 10K race.
Now... to just start training.
So... this gives me actually 15 weeks and 5 days to train. I can do it. I keep telling people that they can train and run a marathon in 16 weeks. So, I'm going to put this to the test.
I had every intention of going running tonight, but there's a problem when you get home from work and fall asleep for a few hours... but not that deep sleep but the one where you're trying not to sleep but end up sleeping for 1 1/2 hours.
So... this week, this is my schedule:
- Monday: Rest (apparently take a nap on my couch)
- Tuesday: 3 miles
- Wednesday: 4 miles
- Thursday: Rest (or cross training)
- Friday: 3 miles
- Saturday: 5 miles
- Sunday: NOTHING (maybe go for a walk)
I'm making myself accountable to you. I PROMISE!!!!

Christi, you rock! I used to hate running but I love it now! I haven't done a race yet but I will and when I do, you will be part of my inspiration! Way to go and good luck!

Christi, I can't believe you fell asleep on your couch. But you know what? I'm excited to see you running around so I can follow you in my car, cheering and honking. Aren't you so happy? Good luck in your training.
